People are stunned after revealing James Corden doesn’t drive the Carpool Karaoke car
We all love The Late Late Show.
But did you know that James Corden doesn’t actually drive the car in the fan-favorite part of the show Carpool Karaoke?
If there is any chance you’re unfamiliar with the format, here’s how it works: The host James Corden picks up a ‘random’ celebrity on their way to work or some other important place, and they improvise an entertaining karaoke car-session. They sing and dance, while Corden is driving the car. Or is he?
A fan of the show accidentally discovered that James isn’t really driving the car in Carpool Karaoke. He posted a short video on Twitter, unveiling who’s actually behind the wheel.

This shocking exposure was posted on January 23. The Twitter user Zoli wrote:
“Saw James Corden and Justin Bieber filming Carpool Karaoke and this is why I have trust issues – he isn’t even driving!”
He also adds in the comments:
“Next thing you know they gonna tell us that his friends don’t *actually* need a ride.”
People clearly went crazy over this revelation, as the original tweet has over 100,000 retweets and 400,000 likes.
Most of them share they feel as if their trust was somehow betrayed, and they wondered how did the police never pulled James over for dancing and singing while driving.
In spite of this understandably disturbing discovery, some keen viewers noted that the extra pulling vehicle is a recent decision from the production team of The Late Late Show. For many of the viewers, this has always been clear.
“It’s kinda obvious tho if u pay attention to it. That was good for them, safety first!“
In fact, some long-time fans claim they have seen Corden actually driving the car in the past, with celebrities like Katy Perry and One Direction.
Nobody is truly judging James or the show. People are just a bit confused. But we can all agree that safety comes first, especially on the road.
